On October 7th 2016, our Fuel Up Team hosted our first cross school Parent Fitness Night. This event blended together 4th and 5th grade student ambassadors from Ben Franklin Elementary School with 6th - 8th graders from Herbert Hoover Middle School along with their parents in one of our middle school gyms. The idea was to introduce the Fuel Up program to Herbert Hoover middle school parents in an attempt to jump start the program there. We had over 50 students and parents in attendance all working out together. The student ambassadors helped organize, set-up, and execute the workout for their parents. Afterwards, we all met in the cafeteria to refuel with some yogurt parfaits. It was in the cafeteria that we all had the opportunity to socialize together and set goals for the remainder of the year. At this point both Ben Franklin Elementary School and Herbert Hoover Middle School are Fueled Up and ready for another great year.
