CT Plunkett received the NFL Flag Football Essentials Kit, which my students were very excited about. We supplemented our football unit by playing lead up games using the flags like tag and Capture the Football. We will hopefully progress to playing Flag Football. Besides the flags, the accompanying Flag Football curriculum was very helpful. I got many good ideas from it.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

I have seen improvements in safety during the football unit. When playing Capture the Football, students would get a little rough when tagging each other or they would complain that they didn't feel someone tag them. Using the flags made it safer and there wasn't any doubt when they got their flag pulled.
