Culinary Cook Off
We held a culinary cook off with our Fuel Up to Play 60 team after school in September. Students were divided into groups of 5. Each group was given a mystery bag of ingredients. They had 20 minutes to decide what they were going to do with the ingredients. They ended up having to make 5 grilled cheese sandwiches and 5 fruit and yogurt parfaits. They had to have their final food dish plated for judging before the 20 minutes were up. Student teams won prizes based on the judges decisions.

How did you accomplish your goals?

It was fun to watch groups work together to decide how the ingredients were supposed to be used. They did a lot of problem solving and had a lot of conversations. In the end, all groups were successful.
