Curtsinger Family PE Night
On September 20th, Curtsinger Elementary hosted a family PE Night. We had over a hundred students attend with their families. The event was set up with eight stations that families moved through. At each station, a fun family game was played. Once you completed a station your card was marked off and a prize was awarded at the end. Parents also had an opportunity to learn about the 21-Day Challenge. Spokesperson Amy Lopez, from Medical City and Medical City Children’s Hospital, spoke to parents and students about the Kids Teaching Kids Program. The event was a success and we hope that families will continue to play and be active together.

How did you accomplish your goals?

PE Night was designed to encourage families to play together, in hopes that they would continue to be physically active outside of school. Many families spoke with us after the event, telling us how much they enjoyed playing with their child and how they forgot how fun it was to play games. We plan on continuing to encourage families to play together.
