At Snake River High School for the Kickoff event, there was an assembly. This assembly talked about the importance of dairy farming. Dan Gilbert came to the school and brought a baby calf to show the students. There were relay races against the classes, which the freshman won. We used the jump ropes from the grant we had received from Fuel Up to Play 60 for the relay. Many of the students helped set up for the assembly and participated. Afterwards, there were milkshakes in the commons area for the kids to have. Everyone got involved and had fun! They learned how getting active and eating right can be fun.
