My students and I decided to select Let's Dance as one of our Plays. We had so much fun incorporating this into our run/walk program last week. The students took turns participating in various dances and roles. It truly made for a very special day. Fuel Up to Play 60 has become part of their daily routine and it makes me so proud to be involved in something that truly makes a difference.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We planned the Play together. When implementing this Play, teachers and students did it together. In my opinion, this is very important for the students to see the need for daily exercise in all ages.

How did you accomplish your goals?

The students formulated a plan for the Play while working in technology class. When they came out on Friday, they knew their roles and had a strategy to implement Let's Dance!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The students come out to run/walk every Friday. We have added music that involves dancing so the students will have practice throughout the year. We are also choosing a different song each week to incorporate at the end of each group.
