Beginning March 1st and going through March 14th, the students and staff will be logging their physical activity throughout the day.  They are doing this to see how long it will take them as a group to reach the number of miles equivalent to a round trip to Hawaii. They will be incorporating this movement throughout the school day in gym class and in the classroom as well as at recess.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The student council at NS has come up with this idea and worked with the gym teachers, council advisor, principal and the lead cook to create this fun event.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The student council is going to encourage their peers to keep moving. Once this is finished, they want to come up with a new plan to be sure that it all continues for the rest of the school year and beyond.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The student council is very excited about this idea and implementing it with their peers. There is a new level of excitement throughout the building.
