I have a student who has a disability that makes walking and running very difficult. One day he asked if he could join my morning jogging club. I was a little taken back because I knew that he struggled with walking and running. It didn't take but a moment and I told him that he absolutely could join my morning jogging club. Through a little modification at first to make him successful, he now runs more than before. He shows up every Tuesday and Thursday very eager to get started. His participation and determination has motivated me. To see the adversity overcome at a young age is very inspiring. His attitude toward life and struggles will forever impact me.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
My challenge was to ensure the success of a student with disabilities through modification to allow participation in my running club.

I accomplished this through establishing modified distances achieved.
