How can you use teamwork and creativity to create a snowman out of PE equipment? During class we talked about the importance of teamwork and strategies we can use to help us work together. The students had 5 minutes to run and collect equipment one teammate at a time. They did not have knowledge of what they were going to do with the equipment, which made it more fun when it was time to get creative. After the 5 minutes, I asked the above driving question.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

I was really proud to see how groups worked together. I had some groups take everyone's ideas and vote on one. I also saw some groups incorporate everyone's ideas.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

During this activity, I had the opportunity to work individually with groups that were struggling. We would come up with strategies to help them work well together. I could refer back to this throughout the year.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Throughout my whole teamwork unit, we worked on strategies to help students to learn to work together. Doing activities such as these help me to have something to refer back to throughout the year.
