Our FUTP 60 team held the First Annual Candy and Toothbrush Drive to encourage Scott Middle School students to give up their Halloween candy and packaged toothbrushes to send to service men and women stationed overseas.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We advertised the drive schoo-wide with posters and student announcements on the morning intercom. We encouraged all 1st period classes to participate and gave a prize to the class that collected the most items.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Students created posters and made announcements to advertise and the whole school talked about how much candy and how many toothbrushes were donated. We have already made a partnership with a community dental practice to do the drive again next year!
