Eagle Scout Project Helps School
A local Boy Scout did his Eagle project at our school. He painted a basketball court, two four square courts and bases on our blacktop area and made a grade level recess bag for grades K-5.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The Eagle Scout process involves getting permission and approval from all parties involved as well as fundraising for the project. There were adults and youth involved in all aspects along the way, The project was led by the 16 year old Scout.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The Scout led the project. There were adults and youth involved in both fundraising and painting.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The paint is permanent and will last for years. The recess bags have equipment that will last for a while. The bags and equipment are color matched so that if equipment is left on the playground it will be possible to tell to which grade it belongs. It also will be easier to deter student theft of equipment.
