Eat the Rainbow
As a campus we talked about the importance of eating all colors of the rainbow through fruits and vegetables. We watched a cute little video and played games in PE to remind us of what each color represented. The team put up posters and bulletin boards to help encourage and remind students of what eating the rainbow looked like. We challenged each class to eat as many rainbows as they could over the course of a two week period. We saw each class participate and get excited to tell us what part of the rainbow they were consuming. Students even began to try new things and challenged their parents to find fun new rainbow fruits and vegetables. As a campus we ate over 2,000 rainbows!

How did you accomplish your goals?

We made announcements, talked about it in PE, and made posters. Each teacher kept track of their rainbows and reported them to Coach Harvey.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The kids were excited to tell us different things they ate and found while doing this Play. We will continue to talk about it as well as do another challenge in the spring.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students are excited to eat fruits and vegetables.
