Eating Healthy and Working Out

Four days a week I get up around 5 A.M. to work out at the local YMCA. On the weekends I like to go on walks or stay active by coaching JR High basketball. I also prepare my weekly meals on Sundays to ensure that I eat healthy all week long.

How did you accomplish your goals?

By setting an alarm every day early to be ready to work out. I also meal prep on Sundays to ensure that I am eating healthy.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Waking up at 5 A.M. is never fun, but it helps when you have friend who helps to motivate you to stay active by going with you in the morning to work out with you.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

By putting up posters about Fuel Up to Play 60. I also am talking to more and more students about what it means to be healthy and active.
