Eating our Science
With funding from another source, we have been exploring science concepts with healthy food. We tried kale, different colored peppers, and various other fruits and vegetables. We made fruit juice jello blocks while learning about the states of matter.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We needed to create a kid friendly kitchen, so we worked with the school district to create one. We used funds to purchase tables, an island, refrigerator, and basic kitchen supplies.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students have learned how to measure, and work in small groups to achieve the goals of creating the experiment and or recipe. In our photo, the kids worked together to make play-doh, which is something that they can play with, and turn off the screens to be creative.
