Physical Activity Participation

Last year at Century Oaks we piloted a student-led daily movement break. After some adjustments, it became a school success. Teachers liked the idea so much that this year they have adapted the GoNoodle program into their daily routine. This allows them the ability to have a movement break when their class actually needs it, not just at a scheduled time.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Our goal was to give students the opportunity for a movement break during a normally "academic only" time. This year they are given numerous daily opportunities.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

I see the kids are really enjoying the added activity and this is leading to happier kids.
