We have a lot of amazing students here at Margaret Buerkle Middle School; however, some of them may not always have the opportunity to eat breakfast in the morning. Our school has finally added a "Second Chance" breakfast for those who may not have a chance to eat at home or at school before it classes begin. We now serve breakfast after 1st period so students have an opportunity to still grab a bite to eat, even if they wake up late, or come to school late. So far it's been super successful!

How did you accomplish your goals?

Sometimes students show up late to school due to various reasons, which may cause them to miss breakfast. We finally came up with a solution and allow those students a "Second Chance" to grab breakfast on the go after 1st period.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students seem to be more alert due to eating breakfast. It's helped those who take medicine in the morning as well!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

I'm 100% positive that this play will NOT be going any where! We will continue to offer "Second Chance" breakfast , due to it's major success with our students!
