Most middle school students in Northern Colorado only have P.E. for half of the school year and much of that time they are in a classroom completing their required health curriculum. In our Fuel Up to Play 60 class at the end of the day, we can spend time playing sports, doing projects, and having some fun!
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Many of the students this year did not know how to play football. Students learned each position and practiced executing their plays. Students enjoyed a game called RED ZONE: offense has to try to score a touchdown and defense tries to make four stops or gain a turnover. The team that executes stays on the field and plays the next team; the team that did not execute gets the opportunity to huddle up and create an improved game plan.
