We had the privilege of having Excite Gymnastics set up fun, energetic gymnastics stations in our gym for a week. Students were instructed by one of their amazing gymnastics coaches on how to do various movements, from a hand stand, to a cartwheel. Every student left the gym sweaty and with a smile on their face. Students then also were invited to come participate in Excite's programs and their Friday Night Out fun, creating an opportunity to participate in physical activity in our local community!

How did you accomplish your goals?

We were able to pay for Excite Gymnastics to come to our PE program through our Healthy Zone School grant from the Cooper Institiute. This allowed our students to learn the TEKS that are related to gymnastics that we might not otherwise be able to do in the gym due to not having all the necessary equipment.
