Throughout the school we are using activity brain breaks to get kids up and moving. We have them do at least 2 minutes of an active physical activity every 20-30 minutes. Students are excited, engaged, and healthier!

Teachers are giving students choices of brain break activities and students are the faciliatators.
How did you accomplish your goals?
We are using technology to access websites with brain breaks or using one another as resources for ideas. We are also linked with the University of Arizona Snap Ed program to implement healthy nutrition choices and exercise into our curriculum.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The challenges are always time and resources. We have found that the benefit of implementing brain breaks and physical activity are worth the planning and search for resources. Websites, such as GoNoodle, are easy to access and motivating to students.
