Family Fitness Night

The Fuel Up to Play 60 team helped to make signs and decorations about eating healthy and staying active. The Family Fitness Night had two waves of 60 minutes for K-2nd grade and 60 minutes for 3-5th grade. At the beginning and end of every wave, the school Program Advisor explained the importance of fueling up to play 60. During these waves, students from Paddock Elementary school, along with their parents, had several different activity stations to participate in together (e.g. rock climbing wall, jump roping with one leg, pushup mats, etc.). Each family started at different stations and participated in the station activity for one minute until the buzzer went off and they knew to move to the next station. Once the 60 minutes were over, the families then were able to get water, string cheese, and vegetables to refuel. The night was full of music and laughter; it was a great way to get families moving together.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students and adults completed each of the fitness stations alongside one another encouraging everyone to keep moving!
