This year our Fuel Up to Play 60 groups hosted a community event that encouraged parents, families, siblings, students, and community members to join Family Fitness and Nutrition activities. Everyone got to enjoy family Yoga, Hip-Hop dancing, cross country skiing, and creating their very own MyPlate to take home. We got our community moving and educated all about eating more dairy, whole-grains, fruits, vegetables, and proteins.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Students completely came up with this idea and the activities involved. The adults were simply in charge or supervision and cutting the fruits and veggies.
