Community Involvement

The wellness committee and the FUTP 60 Club at Andrew Cooke Magnet School sponsored its first annual Family Fun and Fitness Night. Nearly 100 people attended the event to learn about living a healthy lifestyle. Presentations included a cooking demonstration from the University of Illinois Extension office, health screenings from Vista Health, information about FUTP 60 and Waukegan Park District programs. Families were treated to healthy snacks from Aramark. Parents and students enjoyed different physical activity stations and a yoga class. The night was a huge success!

How did you accomplish your goals?

We had nearly 100 people attend the event and have gotten permission from administration to have another Family Fun and Fitness Night!
