With the help of a committed staff, Crestview Elementary hosted its 1st Annual Family Health & Wellness Night. Families came in and received their station cards and were able to participate in various pre-arranged activities, which included yoga, dance, basketball, and hockey. At the end, everyone gathered in the gym for a culminating activity, the Whip Nae/Nae Dance. From there, families enjoyed a nutritious snack, door prizes, and each child left with their own jump rope. It was a HUGE success.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The plan is to offer two family health and wellness nights throughout the school year. The feedback was amazing and the interest is there to continue.

How did you accomplish your goals?

By having a very dedicated staff, we all pulled together and shared our talents and time to make this an all-encompasing event.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Space is always a challenge for us, and we got creative with the use of other rooms in our school to shuffle the 200+ people that participated in the evening.
