Access to Healthy Foods, Community Involvement,  Physical Activity Participation

Our school hosted our first Family Health and Fitness Night. It was a big success. We had health and fitness vendors, healthy food tasting, fitness activities, Nutrition BINGO, and giveaways. This was also our FUTP 60 Kickoff. We gave out milk after students participated in the activities. Thanks to this grant, we were able to make this night possible. We are looking forward to holding the event again next year.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Putting together the event and advertising was a challenge. We chose a tough date. I think the attendance will be even better next year.
