Family Splash and Dash
The Family Splash and Dash was held at the Brownsville I.S.D. Aquatic Center. The purpose of the event was to keep parents and their children physically active. Children needed to walk in a zigzag motion around eight pool lanes then go down a water slide and walk or jog 1.3 miles at the walking trial.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Parents and children teamed up to finish the the race. Every parent and child were encouraged to motivate each other to finish the race.

Students are motivated and excited to come to school every day and learn in school, and they look forward to PE class and working on their physical activity units.
