Access to Healthy Foods, Community Involvement, Teamwork
Throughout the month of October, Hillsboro City Schools served various foods raised by local farmers. On October 25th local dairy farm, Starlite Dairy and Grain, provided free ice cream to all students and staff. Starlite Representatives mingled with students and passed out ice cream during school lunches. Superintendent Tim Davis and other school employees dressed up as cows and milk cartons. A local Hillsboro newspaper reported on the event and The Fuel Up to Play 60 program.
