As part of the Farm to School initiative, the Pre-K through 2nd grade classes at Odonnell Elementary school, adopted three calves, Cookie, Daisy and Jezzabel. The classes received a photo and stats about their calves and have been receiving updates and photos as the calves grow. The experience has exposed the students to the dairy farm and information about where there milk comes from. On April 22, the students will have a live chat with their cows and owners! They are excited to watch their calves grow and can't wait to meet them!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

The students are more aware of where there milk comes from and we hear them talking about dairy farms and cows during breakfast and lunch times.
