Farm To Table

This is a service provided by the Cooperative Extension Service and the University of Arkansas. Students are given the opportunity to learn that the food they consume comes from farms. Exhibits were set up in the cafeteria where students in grades 1st through 5th were allowed to go through. Parents interacted with students to show them the different items in each exhibit. Students seemed to enjoy each station and the information they learned.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We had many volunteers; from parents, individuals in the community and student nurses that helped with this wonderful program. Volunteers manned the stations and explained what was happening in each station. Students were able to ask questions and interact with the items in the exhibit.
