Boys and girls from every grade in our school are leaders based on their ability to perform in PE, follow our school's Positive Behavior Intervention System and their teamwork skills. These students are picked on these qualities once a month and recognized in front of their peers. They then have the ability to help design a PE class the following month with activities they think will better the PE experience. I do this for every grade, K-5.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

I have seen serious improvements in PE behavior, desire to work hard in PE and their efforts to lead active lifestyles that others can emulate.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We met and worked together to plan out an activity that would benefit their class and grade. Students and myself worked together to talk about what could work and what they wanted to do. We talked about how each skill we work on benefits us and allows us to be better at Fueling Up to Play 60.
