We have a special ed student in our class that had been stubborn about participating during the first 4 months of class. We introduced heart rate monitors to all of our students and since then he hasn't wanted to sit down. All he is concerned about during class is getting his heart rate up and seeing the watch turn yellow and red, letting him know that his heart rate is in the zone.

Talk to his parents about buying him a heart rate monitor for home.
