The HS Industrial Tech class, PTO, staff and Fuel up to Play 60 student committee is working to install our Fitness Trails obstacles this Spring, in addition to our playground. The Fitness Trails will be for both our student access and community access.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Teachers, parents and students are working together to plan the date of installation. The students measured the area of the playground where the obstacles will be placed. We met with the schools maintenance director, principal and district coordinator to plan what will be required to install the obstacles. The students presented to the PTO to gain assistance for the materials that will be required and asked for adult assistance during installation.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We have only obtained four of the eight obstacles planned for the playground. With principal and PTO assistance, future ear-marks have been established.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Receiving the funds for the additional materials for installation. The area declared for installation had to be marked for the water lines underground.
