The students have really enjoyed participating in various activities outlined in the Flag Football curriculum provided by Fuel Up to Play 60. This is great tool for teaching skills by following a progression of fun and engaging activities. We started with Flag Tag and moved through to several small sided games. We even played modified Flag Football and the students loved it. Also, these activities are used during our school-sports program, which is teacher sponsored. During physical education, we incorporated a variety of videos and fitness information through Fuel  Up to Play 60. The students and I love the program!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

There are more opportunities for students to engage in physical activities such as; ballet, African dance, and sports programs.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The Strong for Life team also delivered their healthy message to our students during an exciting assembly. The team will return in 2019 to reinforce the message during lunch and physical education classes. Our school is also involved in The Fresh Fruits and vegetable program. These program provides opportunities for students to understand why it is extremely important to make fruits and vegetables a part of their diet.
