We invited a rep from the Belvidere Park District to introduce the basic skills for Flag Football to our 3rd, 4th & 5th graders! The students were able to use the new FUTP 60 Flag Football equipment that we earned the previous school year. The skills taught by Mr. Ross were; running, passing, catching and a few football plays. Many of the students enjoyed the experience and are hopeful that they get the chance to do it again.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Our goal was to complete all of the Plays by our last meeting to achieve Touchdown status. The Flag Football opportunity was one strep.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We have a FUTP 60 team comprised of 2 PE teachers, 2 Admin and 6 students. We met 5 times throughout the school year to accomplish Touchdown status.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

The FUTP 60 team members presented a team-created slide and the listening group was not focused on the presentation. We overcame the struggle by ignoring a few students and asking a few others to pay attention.
