Student Leadership

Our school has had at least 1 State (or National) Ambassador for 3 years in a row. This past year was no exception. Gilana continued with our streak of success by being selected as a State Ambassador for New Jersey and traveled to the Student Ambassador Summit over the summer. When she returned to school this fall she immediately began implementing some of the skills she acquired at the summit into our daily and weekly routines. She has also inspired some of our other students to strive for the same level of success that she has attained. She has become a true leader in every sense of the word and I cannot begin to express how proud I am of her!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

In our school we're not a team, we're a family. This program has developed a bond between our Ambassadors and advisors that will never be broken. Our Ambassadors know that they can come to us with any ideas they have and we will work with them to make it a reality. Even if their ideas are a little far fetched, we still manage to find a middle ground to help them reach a level of success.
