This year our FUTP 60 team challenged our middle school to bring in more canned goods for our school-sponsored food pantry. It helps those who need it in our community. The kids collected for 1 week and we were able to collect over 100 lbs of food for the pantry. I am so proud of our group!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The kids planned daily announcements, made signs and spread the word around the school.

How did you accomplish your goals?

By working as a team and getting the word out, the kids were able to collect over 100 pounds of food!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Through doing this event at our school other groups have done things to help the pantry. We like to think we were a catalyst for our school's food pantry.
