Access to Healthy Foods

FUTP 60 team members helped with the "Bio" facts of each Food Group Super Hero and posters were developed. Commercials introducing each of the Super Heroes and showcasing their super powers were made and shared with students at our school.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students wrote 4 of the 5 commercials and were in small groups. I wrote the Dairy commercial and the whole team participated.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We have spread out the commercials over the course of the year with a different challenge or commercial for each month.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

After our assembly introducing the Food Group Super Heroes, students were trying to remember all their names. Students seem to remember the food groups and why each one is important with the Super Hero format.
