Every day we use the recess cart. I have student leaders who pick up the equipment off of the playground and bring in the cart.  In the spring time, the same groups of kids will be bringing out equipment for certain games to play with their peers. It a great start to teaching kids how to play again.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

The students are responsible for taking the cart out and preparing it to share with all the other kids at recess. They have also limited the number of balls and things in the cart based on the lack of responsibility of cleaning up the playground. They are teaching the younger students ideas to use and how they can help in the upcoming school years to be chosen as a leader.
