Breakfast For Everyone — First Meal Matters
When we had some new students at Doolittle arrive to school starving, we learned that they often did not eat an adequate dinner and very seldom ate anything for breakfast. Two of my seventh grade leaders took it upon themselves to make sure those new students were the first to receive food in the morning as well as first to receive their healthy snack at the end of the day.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The seventh and eighth grade leaders are like working with fellow adults. They are wise beyond their years, and they take a lot of the responsibilities off the adults. The students are absolutely amazing to work with.
