Our Ambassadors had a a great time educating our students and staff on nutritious food choices by offering samples of fruit and veggie smoothies. We had two different smoothie choices: orange, banana and carrot or blueberry, spinach and banana. Both smoothies were packed with nutrients from the fruit and veggies and dairy from whole milk. It was awesome to see students try something totally new and enjoy it!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Students gathered ingredients and measured milk and juice while the adults operated the blender and poured the smoothies.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Some students were hesitant to try the smoothies and the peer Ambassadors were encouraging them to try something new.
