Access to Healthy Foods
During the week of Sept 18-22, staff and students participated in Fruit Week. Students learned about how fruit helps the body, fruit games were played in gym class, and special guests were in the cafeteria to hand out fruit stickers to all caught eating fruit.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
Staff and students participated by wearing the color of the day each day of the week.
How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?
Special staff go to the cafeteria and ask students to show their healthy foods at lunch time.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
Pre-K students do not eat in the cafeteria, so room teachers were given fruit charts to document student participation.
