Fruits, Veggies, and Milk...Oh My!

At Peters Colony Elementary, our students participated in a two-part Healthy Eating Challenge. The first was the 21-Day Healthy Eating Challenge, where students were encouraged to eat at least one healthy snack each day that contained a fruit and/or vegetable each day. The second part was our Morning Milk Challenge, where students were encouraged to drink their milk during our in-classroom breakfast. To include a fun Physical Activity Play that promoted our Healthy Eating Challenge, students played the "Fruit & Veggie Basket Relay" game during our fall field day. Attached below is a photo to show our Morning Milk Challenge and a YouTube link to our video about our field day game and 21 Day Challenge.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Our Fuel Up Student Team and PE teachers planned the Morning Milk Challenge and helped execute the fun game and video about our Fruit & Veggie Basket Relay.
