We offered yoga and smoothies once a week for our students during the month of February and March to alleviate some of the anxiety associated with standardized testing in our school.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students participating in yoga and learning the importance of relaxation have really changed their attitudes about this healthy practice. Many students just came to yoga for the free smoothie!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

My leadership team came up with the idea; I purchased the food and they made the smoothies and set up the yoga mats. They also recruited their friends to join them for future sessions.
