Access to Healthy Foods

We were able to obtain funding for every child to eat breakfast. We are offering two options this year. The first option puts grades 3-5 in the lunchroom and we encourage all to eat breakfast. The 6th grade "grabs and goes" to class for some morning time with the teachers. We want to get the students in the routine of eating breakfast. We are hoping that seeing their peers eat will encourage all to eat.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Working together with admin and staff to seek out needs and observations.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

More kids eating breakfast.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Grab and go was good, but not as many kids ate breakfast and we are seeing if this methods works better.
