Physical Activity Participation

This year we have begun Fuel Up Friday! Each week, we choose a select number of students or teachers to help us create a workout video to share with the entire school on Friday mornings to get us up and moving! This gets the sleep out of our eyes, gets our hearts pumping, and wakes up our brains so we are prepared to make it through the last day of the week! The students and staff have loved this so far and are always excited to see what we have them doing next!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We come together each week with a new set of students and staff to create our very own workout videos for the school to watch and work alongside.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

As a PE teacher, I am extremely involved in the health of our school - not just the students, but the staff as well! I want my students healthier and I want to show them fitness can be fun! The staff members are also realizing that fitness can be fun.

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Our students are more energized after completing the video and they are more focused during class. Our staff members are awake and ready to teach!
