Access to Healthy Foods

After creating a video submission for a FUTP 60 contest, we were fortunate enough to win a smoothie machine for our school. Since then, we have started having Fuel Up Fridays in the cafeteria here at North Park. Students LOVE it! The first Fuel Up Friday we had, we sold out completely. Since then we have tried different flavors and it continues to be popular.

How did you accomplish your goals?

Students worked together under the guidance of our principal, Dr. Schoenfeld. They came up with the idea and helped put the video together for the contest.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We will continue to have Fuel Up Fridays as long as we are able to continue to supply the machine. We would also like to extend it and use it for after-school activities.
