Fuel Up Fundraiser Fun

Last Friday, February 24, our school had a fundraiser at our local Trampoline Park. The kids were invited to jump at a discounted price for 5 hours. School was cancelled for the day as we had a snow storm hit. The snowstorm did not hinder the students from showing up. We had over 130 students show up for the fundraiser. Our team made over $800! The kids jumped all afternoon and the General Manager even fed all the kids as part of the price. The kids loved it and were very tired at the end of the 5 hours. Thanks to Benny Anderson and the Trampoline Park for an awesome fundraiser!!

How did you accomplish your goals?

We accomplished our goals by having everyone helping out. Some students made signs to hang up, other students passed out flyers to every classroom. Parents called to help out as well to man the tables and help students at the park fill our waivers and showed them where to go.

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

We had a snowstorm on the day of the event. Parents and kids were great about calling, e-mailing, and sending out reminders that it was not cancelled. We overcame the element of surprise by all working together to make it a success.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

The students and other adults worked together by passing out the information about the event. The kids had to speak with each middle school teacher to get permission to pass out the flyers and make announcements in the classroom. The parents and kids also communicated very effectively about the event and how it was not cancelled.
