Physical Activity Participation

Before school let out for our holiday break, students had a chance to participate in a Reindeer Run. We paired this with a small school fundraiser. The students could bring in $1 to run (they did not have to). We then scheduled times for the students to run in the gym and school hallways (this was a BIG hit - running in the hallway). We tracked the times and the three top winners per grade level received a Fuel Up T shirt, to-go cup and certificate. The top runner also received some reindeer antlers!

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We have an ongoing walking program when the weather is seasonable. This event enhanced this program. We will have another run in the Spring, Leprechaun Run!
