Our Fuel Up to Play 60 team did a Walk to School Day as the kickoff on Wed. Oct. 9th. Everyone gathered at a parking lot with the team organizing students by grades. Along with the 110 students; parents, teachers, and younger siblings joined in the two mile walk. Everyone was treated to a delicious string cheese and a bottle of water. The Falcon, our team mascot, and the FUTP 60 team led the crowd to school while they munched on a healthy morning snack of cheese. Everyone gathered for a picture when they arrived at school.
How did students and adults work together as a team?
The FUTP 60 team made posters, did announcements, and led the group on our walk.
The adults arranged the distribution of the cheese and water and joined their children on the walk.
