Fuel Up to Play 60...One Pack, One Heart!

Students at Williamson PK-8 are doing phenomenal with the Fuel Up to Play 60 program this school year! These students thrive daily on learning new ways to become a healthier version of their selves. Students promote healthy eating throughout the school by designing their own posters and signs. It is important to let students showcase their skills on a daily basis. Students encourage each other to always try their best. Most students are physically active outside of school and in extra curricular activities. Students also encourage people in the community to adapt to a healthier lifestyle. Volunteerism is such an important trait to have, and it is implemented often in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program! Keep up the good work Williamson Wolfpack!

What improvements have you seen at your school?

Students have become more confident and active throughout the school. Older students have been seen mentoring younger students, modeling how to play games and encouraging them to make better choices.

How did you accomplish your goals?

As a Program Advisor and Physical Education teacher, I encourage my students daily to make healthier choices. I always give them many opportunities to be active and help each other. Teamwork is so important in and outside of the classroom. Students need to learn how to work together as a TEAM!

What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?

Some students were not confident enough to help with activities or even participate in them. I placed stronger students with weaker ones and allowed them to be leaders and help students become more confident.
