Success with Funds

We started an alternative breakfast program and used the Fuel Up to Play 60 resources to provide healthy nutrition messaging to the students. The photo includes a retired NFL player, several school nutrition staff and a few of the Nutrition Advisory Council. We hosted the player for a FUTP 60 Pep Rally to talk about the importance of making healthy choices.

How did you accomplish your goals?

We accomplished are goal by hosting a festival to share information about the new breakfast set-up and the healthy foods being offered.

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We worked with the art teacher to have students create FUTP60 posters. We also worked with the PE teachers to incorporate information and questions from the FUTP60 lessons.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

Will continue to promote the breakfast cart and healthy eating contests.
